STATEMENT
I am an artist and researcher based in Los Angeles, California. I make research projects, speculative design proposals, objects, videos and simulations that bring attention to histories of technologies of war, state power and militarization.
In my current research, I seek to demystify the history of the automation of lethal force, in both the global weapons trade and in US policing, to explore how the technosocial imaginary surrounding autonomous weapons and geneative AI occlude our ability to understand an ongoing and dangerous geopolitical crisis.

Other areas of interest include the necropolitics of simulation, the militarization of identity, and speculative post-work futures.
I also like writing sci-fi and making maps.

💫 I am available for freelance. 💫
I am currently a lead animator and designer at the art and games studio Tender Claws.
I am formerly a studio researcher for the inagural Antikythera studio hosted by the Berggruen Institute in 2023. While there, I contributed to the Cloud Megaregionalization project.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Nina Sarnelle and I facillitated the virtual working group Growing Teeth in collaboration with Virtual Care Lab, where we explored post-work theory and the politics of aging.
I received a BFA from SAIC in Chicago and an MFA in Design Media Arts from UCLA.
My teaching CV can be viewed here.
